Company Retreats & Special Events at J Bar L

The Stibal barn at our ranch headquarters serves as a meeting/dining hall and is available for corporate gatherings, family reunions, small private weddings and retreats. Indoor seating accommodates approximately 30 people, though most guests choose to sit outside on the deck to enjoy the gloriously long summer evenings. Additional meeting facilities are available for guests on the J Bar L Guest Ranch property. 

Depending on the group’s dynamics and lodging preferences, the J Bar L ranch can comfortably accommodate up to 30 people. If your group is larger, we recommend the Elk Lake Lodge: located just 12 miles down the road, it can accommodate another 20 guests.

We can arrange for fishing, bird-watching, geology guides, pack trips, day rides and even massage therapists and yoga instructors to pamper guests during leisure time. We’ll be glad to suggest great hikes, bike rides and drives that you can take on your own. While we believe one of the unique qualities of the J Bar L Ranch is its secluded natural environment, we provide internet access in the meeting/dining hall for those who need to connect with the outside world.

Full or partial catering of events is available by our guest manager who is sure to satisfy you with great home cooking and the best pies in Montana. 

We also host mini-conferences and special-interest retreats for bird-watchers, hikers, yoga practitioners, photographers, artists and other groups. And the J Bar L is a superb movie location!
